Wild Tea Cosies - #6 Independents Bestseller List

How about that! #6 ! Thanks to all those lovely independent bookstores hosting tea parties in their windows for a couple of weeks each. What an incredible accident of luck. Who'd a thought the old tea cosy with a wacky twist would strike a chord in the hearts of book buying Ausies everywhere. Tea Hea Hea!

Mushy Stuff about Friends

Once upon a time, 3 years ago, 1 woman invited another women to invite another woman to join her in her lounge one Sunday morning to knit, talk, eat and be merry. And now 9 women meet in each other's lounges the first Sunday morning of every month to knit, talk, eat and be merry. 9 women who were friends of friends but who now all call each other friend and take part in much much more than Sunday monthly knit ins.

For our 3rd Christmas in June we each of us knitted a square. The rules? 30 cm x 30 cm. Wool. Do not show or give anything away about the square. GPB to join together for revealing at our wintry Christmas. One Knitwit to take home. Luck of the draw.

This is the result, lovingly knit, glued together, danced on and taken home by one of us.

Thank you girlfriends. You are the reason I call Noosa home.

Thank you all who joined me at Written Dimension for a lovely night, pontificating the idea that there are no new ideas - just some outrageous variations on the theme. And you thought it was about knitting! Books all sold. Go Knit Girls!

Thank you Annie for taking such good care of me on the night. Thank you all at Written Dimension and Noosa Long Weekend for the shop, the publicity and all the joy along the way.

Thank you Noosa Knitwits for joining me in all this nonsense. Thank you Lovely Ladies of Wallace House for joining me in all this nonsense. And to all the smiling knitters, met for the first time, thanks heaps for coming to share in all the knitting nonsense.

Slaves to the Pom Pom

Slave Girls, Margaret and Nicole. Ah, Ms Chutzpah, you're the one. Who else is a girl going to ask to help make 100 pom poms and get not one, but three pairs of hands to the task. See that young man, just out of frame, he made a small but much appreciated contribution. Yeah you Tom. Ta muchly. Four more Party Girls on their way to books stores in Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney.
